Bill Wilson, CPCU, ARM, AIM, AAM - Industry ExpertBill Wilson, CPCU, ARM, AIM, AAM is the former Assistant Executive Director and Director of Education & Technical Affairs for the Insurors of Tennessee. After an 11-year tenure at the state association, Bill joined the staff of the national Big “I” association to build their Virtual University, serving as the IIABA national Director of Education & Research. He is the author of six books and thousands of articles and has developed and presented hundreds of seminars and convention keynotes. According to former Big “I” CEO Bob Rusbuldt, ““Bill Wilson is the nation’s foremost leading expert on form, coverage, and technical issues.” Among many other state and national industry awards, Bill is a member of the Tennessee Insurance Hall of Fame.
Summary
While coverage and claims disputes are a fact of life for risk and insurance professionals, they are costly in ways that far exceed the legal and other expenses sometimes required to get a resolution. The strength of independent agents, what truly makes them a “trusted choice,” is their ability and desire to advocate for the customer, especially at claim time. Nothing destroys a customer’s trust more than a bad claims experience. If you're an agent, you sell promises that you are relying on someone else to deliver and that makes you equally invested in a fair resolution of the claim. In this session, based on the presenter’s 50+ year career experience in assisting in the resolution of 100,000 or more coverage and claims disputes, you will learn practical and proven strategies for successful resolution of disputed claims.
